The most powerful gift you can give your clients is your own continued growth. Join a supportive space for clinicians deepening their EMDR and IFS practice; individually or in small, intentional groups.
Welcome to this Community Space!
You Don't Have to Do This Work Alone
This community grew out of something I kept noticing in my consultation work. An hour would go by, and there were always more questions than we had time for, more to untangle, more to think through together.
That stuck with me. So I started thinking about a space where those conversations could keep going.
Being a clinician who knows IFS and EMDR work is deep, and it can be isolating. This is a place for therapists who want to keep learning in this work, alongside others doing the same. Resources for your practice, ongoing conversation, and room for the questions that don't fit into an hour are made available here.
Whether you're just starting to integrate these modalities or you've been at it a while, you're welcome here.
Cost: $27/month (cancel at any time, no sign up commitment)

I am so glad you are here and considering consultation. It is one of the most valuable investments you can make in your clinical growth.
I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and currently a Consultant-in-Training (CIT) through EMDRIA (applied for Approved Consultant July 2026). As a CIT, I am able to provide up to 15 of the 20 consultation hours required toward EMDR certification. I have submitted for Approved Consultant status in July 2026. For therapists who have completed an EMDR training with Tom Zimmerman in which I facilitated, I am also able to offer consultation hours that count toward the 10 required Foundational Training consultation hours. Not pursuing certification but want to sharpen your EMDR skills? I welcome that too! Consultation doesn't have to be about a credential to be meaningful. I have been integrating EMDR actively into my clinical practice for several years and bring real, hands-on experience to our work together.
Alongside EMDR, I have a deep commitment to Internal Family Systems (IFS). I am Level 2 trained through the IFS Institute, and have also completed the Stepping Stones 16-week program. I am on track for IFS certification through the Institute. I would love to offer IFS consultation to support your growth with the model; however, please note that I am not yet able to provide consultation hours toward your IFS certification hours yet, since I am currently working on this credential. I can absolutely still help with consultation outside of your certification hours requirement.
I have also received training in the Flash Technique, which I find to be a wonderful complement to EMDR.
A special area of interest for me is OCD, and in particular, the use of IFS for working with this population. I am also trained in ERP and I-CBT, and I love integrating these models in ways that are tailored to each client's needs. If OCD is a population you are working with or curious about, I would love to think through cases and approaches with you.
My Teaching/Training experience: I have extensive experience in teaching and training including:
Training licensed therapists in the IFS model (as well as college students in counseling programs)
Mental health training to the general public on topics such as suicide prevention, window of tolerance, and other important mental health topics
I was an adjunct professor at Point Park University teaching undergraduate students in the "Foundations of Psychology" as well as "Personality Theories"
I look forward to connecting!

"I had the pleasure of receiving EMDR consultation from Caryn Jooste, LPC, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. She is approachable, supportive, and incredibly knowledgeable. I especially appreciated how she integrated her expertise in Internal Family Systems into the EMDR consultation—it really enhanced my learning. Her guidance felt both practical and insightful, and I left each session feeling more confident and inspired by her expertise"
"Caryn creates an environment that feels safe, supportive, and welcoming, which makes it possible to be open about the complexities of our work. In her supervision groups, I feel comfortable asking difficult questions, exploring challenging clinical situations, and even sharing my own insecurities about my practice.
Caryn approaches supervision with thoughtfulness, deep knowledge of the Internal Family Systems model, and genuine care for the clinicians she supports. She offers guidance in a gentle and respectful way, often using clear examples that help translate theory into practical understanding. Her responses are always insightful and grounded, and she consistently provides helpful suggestions that I can bring directly into my clinical work."
